“Children learn as they play. Most importantly, in play, children learn how to learn.” Fred Donaldson
Play is vital for children to learn and develop. At Sunny Kids, free play and learning opportunities are at the heart of our practice. Children can choose their own activities of interest and have play initiated learning experiences. We encourage all children to play and participate in new learning opportunities, promoting skills in areas such as maths and literacy. Play not only entices and develops excellent skills and knowledge but it keeps your children engaged, happy and interested. We link our daily fun to the Early Years Foundation Stage and the seven areas of learning and development.

Understanding The World
“The Welfare of a child is 'Paramount'”, Child Act 1989,
At Sunny kids we promise to always provide a safe and secure enabling environment for your child. Children are encouraged to find confidence to explore, play and learn throughout their early years of development and we, at Sunny Kids, will support them through that initial learning journey. Safeguarding your child is imperative and is at the forefront of everyday at our pre-school. We promise to maintain a consistent, happy and safe environment where each individual child can thrive and every parent, carer and family can feel at ease to leave their children in our care.
"Once we believe in ourselves, we can risk curiosity, wonder, spontaneous delight, or any experience that reveals the human spirit" - E.E. Cummings
Confidence and Trust are key to a child’s learning and development. At Sunny Kids our ethos is to create a place where children feel free to express themselves and set their own challenges and goals. Confidence will allow a child's learning journey to reach for the stars.
Music and role play interconnect with expressive learning and self-esteem. Our pre-school is dedicated to providing a platform for expression and learning to communicate in the presence of others. This will include singing, role-play and feeling able to talk about ones-self with confidence.
